Why one person

When you call LitWebTech you get the person who wrote the code. There is no account manager between you and the fix, and no junior who has to ask. I do the discovery, the design, the build, the deployment, the training and the support.

That shapes how I build. Systems are kept simple enough for one person to run well: plain PHP and MySQL, clear data models, few moving parts, thorough backups. It also keeps prices honest, because there is no overhead to carry.

What I care about

• Correct money. A fee balance or a payslip is either right or useless. I test the money paths with real cases before go-live, and every M-Pesa integration against the real sandbox.
• Phones first. Most people who use these systems do so on a phone, often on a slow connection. Every system installs like an app and works on a small screen.
• Your data stays yours. You can export everything, any time. Backups are encrypted and kept off the server, and I never reuse one client's data for another.
• Security by default. Two-step sign-in for administrators, role-based permissions, audit trails, and the Kenya Data Protection Act in mind from the first table.
• Plain language. Proposals, invoices, user manuals and the systems themselves use the words your staff use.

Who I work with

Schools and TVET colleges, churches and ministries, groups of companies, law firms, shops and restaurants, SACCOs and member organisations, insurance agencies, NGOs, and authors. Most clients are in Nairobi and the counties around it; some are further afield and we work over calls and preview links.

Beyond the systems

Some of the work is not a web system at all: typesetting books for print from a LaTeX pipeline, generating brand manuals and stationery kits for a group of companies, writing and shooting role-based user manuals, and building an AI writing studio that holds an author's whole body of work. The same care applies: it has to be correct, and it has to ship.

Tools I built for myself

• A backup app that encrypts every project and client server to an external drive, with a vault for passwords and keys.
• A deploy tool that uploads only what changed, backs up what it replaces, and never deletes.
• Generators for user manuals, brand kits and print PDFs, so documentation is produced, not promised.
